OVERVIEW
Grace Bible Academy is looking for qualified substitute teachers that can complement our full-time staff and substitute as needed.
The ideal candidate has experience teaching children, a love for Jesus Christ, and a willingness to serve.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Be available to substitute when needed and sometimes on short notice for our school and afterschool programs
- Lead instruction, follow substitute plans provided by staff to ensure learning continues that day
- Provide assistance to help students complete work as needed
- Create and establish a loving classroom environment
- Maintain accurate attendance records
- Complete 15 clock hours of professional development annually
- Complete an annual professional development plan
- All other duties as assigned by director
REQUIREMENTS
- A high school diploma or GED required at minimum
- Must be 18 years or older
- Ability to pass a background check
- Must complete cabinet approved Orientation for Early Care & Education Professionals
- 15 hours of professional development annually
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous experience working in a school or child care setting
- Previous experience working with large groups of elementary-aged students
- Current CPR & First-Aid certification
