Job Opening: Kitchen Specialist

Position will be Monday- Friday from 6:30am-1:30pm for the months of August through May for 32 to 40 hrs weekly.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The kitchen specialist will:

  • Creation of breakfast, lunch, and afterschool snack menus monthly.
  • Preparation of breakfast, lunch, and afterschool snack for hundreds of students and staff in accordance with created menus to ensure consistency.
  • Implement food service operations in accordance to food safety standards in compliance with Clark County Health Department
  • Maintaining a clean and sanitary food service space in compliance with Clark County Health Department requirements.
  • Ordering and maintaining needed food items for created menus and adhering to the budget set forth by Grace Bible Academy.
  • Maintain continuing knowledge and adherence to all standards as set forth by the Clark County Health Department.
  • Ensure the safety of all children and staff by recognizing and avoiding cross contamination with known food allergies and sensitivities.
  • Be able to communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Display the love of Jesus Christ in words, actions, and attitudes to all children.
  • Maintain working hours as assigned
  • Be responsible for all other duties as assigned by the principal

REQUIREMENTS

  • Current Food Handler’s Certification through Clark County Health Department
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Ability to pass a background check

 DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous experience working in a school setting or serving large groups of people
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google suites
  • Adult, Pediatric, and Infant CPR & First-Aid Training
  • Active membership in their church
