OVERVIEW
Grace Bible Academy is looking for an afterschool teacher to assist in our efforts to provide a quality afterschool experience for the students at GBA.
This is currently a part-time position that works year-round in our afterschool program and full-time with our summer care program. The hours are Monday thru Friday from 1:30pm – 5:30pm during the school year and 9:30am – 5:30pm in the summer.
This position has the potential to become full-time after an initial probationary period.

- Has experience working with large groups of children
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Create a loving and safe environment for the children in our care
- Assist in the development of lesson plans with afterschool staff and the director
- Provide assistance with homework and remedial work as necessary
- Maintain accurate records including attendance, emergency drills, and student records
- Ensure compliance of Kentucky’s childcare regulations
- Create a warm and inviting afterschool setting by interacting with families and children daily
- Act as a ‘floater’ and assist where needed in the classroom on a regular basis or for specific activities
- Monitor all age groups during lunch
- Complete 15 clock hours of professional development annually
- Complete an annual professional development plan
- All other duties assigned by the director
REQUIREMENTS
- A high school diploma or GED required at minimum
- Must be 18 years or older
- Ability to pass a background check
- Must complete cabinet approved Orientation for Early Care & Education Professionals
- 15 hours of professional development annually
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous experience working in a child care setting
- Previous experience working with large groups of elementary-aged students
- Current CPR & First-Aid certification
